Eyelid Pitosis Exercises

Buddhism knowledge rather than faith

.
Yesterday I read another saying of the Buddha, the most likely to be unique in the history of religion in its own way:

raised you not for what you have heard, by the mere hearsay, after what has been passed on from one to another, according to collections of sacred traditions, based on assumptions and ertüftelten reasons, not by external considerations, not by deep-rooted beliefs, not after what looks like it might be appropriate, and not in the words of a revered master - but what you yourself as well have known or bad, to take or give up.
(Anguttara Nikaya 3,65,8; Translator H. von Glasenapp)

Although it is also not without faith in Buddhism, but this is where the meaning of "believe" and trust, is not to compare it with "faith" in the Christian sense. Rather, it is in Buddhism, as the above quote shows on their own knowledge. Already it appears that Buddhism is not merely a religion of faith, but a philosophical religion. Also, in my opinion one of the reasons why Arthur Schopenhauer was the Buddhism over all other religions to be preferred.
